Extend parking concessions for people with severe disabilities (blue parking permit)

Severely disabled people with an exceptional walking disability (aG), bilateral amelia, phocomelia or with comparable functional limitations, as well as blind people, can receive an exemption (blue parking permit). The blue parking permit is valid in all states of the European Union.

If you have a blue parking permit, you have the following parking privileges (if there is no other parking possibility within a reasonable distance):

• Parking in parking spaces specially marked with an additional sign "wheelchair user symbol" (disabled parking spaces).
• Parking for up to three hours in places where the restricted stopping ban has been ordered.
  The time of arrival must be evident from the setting on a parking disc.
• Exceeding the permitted parking time in the area of a zone no-stopping order.
• Parking in excess of the permitted time in places where parking is permitted but a limit on parking time is imposed by an additional sign.
• Parking during loading hours in pedestrian areas where loading and unloading is permitted for specific times.
• Parking for up to three hours in resident parking spaces.
• Parking without a fee or time limit at parking meters and parking ticket machines. The maximum parking time allowed is 24 hours.
• Parking in designated traffic-calmed areas outside marked parking stalls if you do not disproportionately affect other traffic (especially moving traffic).

Note: You must display the parking permit clearly visible behind the windshield and carry the exemption permit with you at all times. With the special permit, you may also park free of charge in customer parking spaces at Deutsche Bahn AG stations.
