Become an election worker

Polling assistants are deployed at polling stations on election day. Their tasks as members of the electoral boards or as assistants in conducting the election include, for example
  • Issuing the ballot papers
  • Checking voter eligibility based on the electoral roll
  • Releasing the ballot box for the ballot paper to be inserted
  • Assistance in determining the election result
Polling assistants
  • must perform their duties impartially; for example, they may not visibly wear any sign indicating their political convictions during their work,
  • are bound to secrecy. They must remain silent about matters that become known during their official duties and
  • may not cover their face in the exercise of their office.
