The department of communication and promotion of physical activity has, among other things, the following main areas of work: Acquisition and financial support of sports events as well as advice to event organizers, organization of its own events, diverse information for Stuttgart residents on the topic of sports as well as communication on the city's physical activity programs, honors, matters of honor and club anniversaries, cultivation of international relations in the field of sports, principles of physical activity promotion, conception and implementation of the city's physical activity programs (Sport in the Park, schwimmfit, kitafit, physical activity passport for the elderly, sports with refugees, project funds, bewegt & aktiv, Bewegungspass Baden-Württemberg, Bewegungspass für Kinder), implementation of Masterplan urbane Bewegungsräume.
