The Stadtwald (City Forest) and lower forestry authority Forsten (Forestry) looks after, maintains and manages the approximately 5,000 hectares of forest in Stuttgart with its approximately 50 employees trained in forestry. With five forest districts distributed throughout the city, it ensures that the functions of the forest are preserved, strengthened and developed for future generations.
