Stuttgart airport

In 1925, the first airliner landed at Stuttgart Airport. In the meantime, there are up to 400 takeoffs and landings per day. The state capital Stuttgart has a direct stake in the company.

Hundreds of aircraft take off and land at Stuttgart Airport on the Filder plain every day.

Stuttgart Airport, which has borne the additional name "Manfred Rommel Airport" since 2014, is the largest airport in Baden-Württemberg. It is one of the ten most important airports in Germany. Over 12 million passengers used the airport in 2019, which is located on the A8 freeway and is in the immediate vicinity of the trade fair grounds. There are around 90 stores and catering outlets in the airport building.

Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH was founded in 1956. The state of Baden-Württemberg bears the main part of the company, the city of Stuttgart is also directly involved. Detailed information on the executive bodies and business development can be found in the current  investment report.
