The Port of Stuttgart is an important cargo handling center in the Stuttgart region. Today, around 50 companies are located on the site of the inland port on the Neckar River. With their national and international trade relations, they handle around 3.5 million tons of goods per year. In doing so, the companies at the port can rely on an excellent transport infrastructure: it enables the loading of goods between road, rail and water.
