Stuttgart Art Museum Foundation

The Kunstmuseum Stuttgart occupies a prominent place in the heart of the city. It shows selected works from the city's collection from the 19th century to current contemporary art. Changing special shows round off the offer. It is operated by the Stiftung Kunstmuseum Stuttgart gGmbH.

The glass cube on Stuttgart's Schlossplatz has been a brand name in the city's cultural landscape since 2005.

The Stiftung Kunstmuseum Stuttgart gGmbH was founded in 2004 to promote art and culture. The company realizes this purpose as a museum for fine arts, in particular through art exhibitions and art events in Stuttgart.

The Kunstmuseum Stuttgart serves to convey, research, collect and preserve art. Based on the maxim "Because art concerns us all", the focus is on questions of the social relevance of art. The collection includes the most important collection of works by the artist Otto Dix.

The Stiftung Kunstmuseum Stuttgart gGmbH is a non-profit institution of the state capital Stuttgart. Detailed information on the executive bodies and business development can be found in the current  investment report.
