Stuttgart Housing and Urban Development Company

Stuttgarter Wohnungs- und Städtebaugesellschaft mbH (SWSG) is one of the largest municipal housing companies in Germany. On behalf of the state capital, SWSG creates livable housing for all Stuttgart residents in the city area.

SWSG is creating urgently needed living space in Stuttgart, for example in the Zuffenhausen district.

With innovative housing concepts and publicly subsidized apartments, SWSG provides access to affordable housing in Stuttgart. It is the main promoter of social housing in the state capital and the most important landlord with over 19,000 apartments. In order to further expand the scarce supply of housing in Stuttgart, SWSG is also realizing  new construction projects (opens in a new tab) throughout the city - from smaller residential units to entire districts.

The City of Stuttgart is the sole shareholder of Stuttgarter Wohnungs- und Städtebaugesellschaft mbH. Detailed information on the executive bodies and business development can be found in the current  investment report.
