Stuttgart Transport and Tariff Association

The Stuttgart Transport and Tariff Association (VVS) offers people in the Stuttgart region sustainable mobility from a single source. The buses and trains operate in the state capital Stuttgart and in five neighboring counties. More than 2.4 million people can benefit from this service every day.

The VVS offers sustainable mobility throughout the Stuttgart conurbation and thus an attractive alternative for visitors and commuters. For example, with the direct connection to the Rems Valley.

Since 1978, the Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund Stuttgart has provided integrated mobility for the entire Stuttgart region. The VVS network area includes the state capital Stuttgart as well as the five neighboring districts of Böblingen, Esslingen, Göppingen, Ludwigsburg and the Rems-Murr district. Around 40 transport companies work together in the network to offer passengers a sustainable and affordable service for the entire metropolitan region. The core area of the VVS is divided into five tariff zones.

The state capital of Stuttgart holds a direct stake in Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund Stuttgart GmbH. Find out more about the executive bodies and business development in the current  investment report.
