950 years of Feuerbach: Festive year with an extensive program of events

Feuerbach was first mentioned in a document on October 9, 1075. Former district head Johannes Heberle and the festival committee have put together more than 20 events to mark the 950th anniversary. Numerous clubs and active citizens are involved.

Feuerbach was once an independent town and has been part of Stuttgart since 1933. Over 30,000 people live here today.

Highlights of the anniversary year

Under the motto "950 years of Feuerbach", the organizers are focusing on many events rather than one big celebration.

The first event was the May Festival on Thursday, May 1, 2025, which returned to Feuerbach's calendar of events with a new, permanent maypole made of stainless steel.

The Kelterfest in Feuerbach also celebrated its own anniversary from August 22 to 24: it took place for the 50th time. An anniversary wine tasting was held on Saturday, August 9 to mark the occasion.

One of the highlights of the anniversary year was the Feuerbacher Kirbe from September 11 to 15 with a parade on Sunday, September 14.

Throughout the year, the permanent exhibition "950 years of Feuerbach" in the district library brings the history of the district closer.

The final highlight of the anniversary year took place on Wednesday, November 19 at the Theaterhaus: VokalWerk, Bosch Choir and Sinfonia 02 performed Mendelssohn's Lobgesang, a joint musical experience and a festive finale.
