In the Museum am Löwentor, visitors travel back to prehistoric times. Discoverers young and old can admire fossils and marvel at the replicas of animals and plants that lived on earth millions of years ago. The collection also includes an amber cabinet and the "Steinheim Skull," which at 300,000 years old is one of the oldest fossil human finds in Central Europe.

The Stuttgart Natural History Museum houses 12 million collection objects in its two exhibition buildings, making it one of the largest natural history museums in Germany.
