The Office for Environmental Protection is legally and technically responsible for the areas of nature and species protection, immission control, water law, contaminated sites as well as soil and water protection. Furthermore, the office is responsible for climatology, climate protection, energy management and occupational safety.
The employees of the office fulfill the legal mandates, monitoring and control obligations and technical tasks responsibly and are committed to healthy working and living conditions in Stuttgart. The Office for Environmental Protection sees itself as part of the city society with the task of developing and implementing ecologically, economically and socially compatible solutions for the future challenges of the state capital Stuttgart.
We make independent decisions that have a sustainable and future-oriented impact on the environment. The aim of our actions is to contribute to the sustainable development of Stuttgart as a residential and business location by taking precautionary measures but also by eliminating damage.
