Citizen participation

Third workshop at the business game “Future Leonhardsvorstadt

The third workshop, “The Specialists”, marks the end of the open workshops in which citizens were able to participate as part of the planning game “Future Leonhardsvorstadt”.

On Friday, October 16, the expert workshop “The Specialists” will take place, in which all previous results will be reviewed. There will also be a discussion on how to continue and concretize the planning.

The workshop can be followed online in a livestream from 5 to 8 p.m. via the following link:  www.zukunft-leonhardsvorstadt.de/diskutieren (opens in a new tab). In the accompanying webinar, participants can actively engage in discussion with the experts. At the end of the simulation, there will be a study that will form the basis for further urban planning in the area. This will incorporate the results from the three workshops, from the three-part online survey and from the individual contributions collected on site in the project room.

Citizen participation in the Leonhards- and Bohnenviertel started in August and will continue until December. The project room at Katharinenstraße 21 in the former laundromat is the central contact point throughout the project and is always open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 4 to 7 pm.

The simulation is carried out by an interdisciplinary team consisting of urban planners, architects and designers on behalf of the Office for Urban Planning and Housing of the City of Stuttgart. The cooperation partner is the IBA′27 StadtRegion Stuttgart GmbH. For more information, visit  www.zukunft-leonhardsvorstadt.de (opens in a new tab).
