City law of the state capital Stuttgart

The legal basis for the work of the state capital Stuttgart is formed by the statutes and regulations, bylaws and fee regulations. Not included are the statutes according to the building code and regulations that are only valid for a limited period of time. If necessary, these can be viewed at the respective specialist offices.

Not included are the statutes according to the Building Code and regulations that are only valid for a limited period of time. If necessary, these can be viewed at the respective departments.

The Main and Personnel Office of the State Capital Stuttgart is in charge of the "Stuttgarter Stadtrecht" and publishes it, but accepts no liability for its correctness, completeness and up-to-dateness. The "Stuttgarter Stadtrecht" is not an official announcement; only the versions published in accordance with the announcement statutes of the state capital Stuttgart are legally binding. This is usually a publication in the official gazette of the state capital Stuttgart.

Previously, the regulations were also published in this place in the layout required for the supplementary delivery produced in paper form. In the meantime, the decision has been made at the state capital Stuttgart to dispense with the supplementary delivery published once a year; it therefore ends with the 21st supplementary delivery, as of August 2018. The new amendments added in the meantime are also included here, but with the addition on page 1 below (22nd supplementary delivery - 2019).

In the future, you will find a more modern and up-to-date version of the City Law under the heading "City Law". Each regulation will then contain a "history overview" on the last page. This documents the first resolution of the regulation and the subsequent amendments, including references to the underlying municipal council printed matter, the publication date of the regulation and the effective date(s). Please understand that the history overview may still be incomplete during the transition phase. The layout will gradually be changed to the new version.

The city law itself is divided into 10 order groups. Behind these, the titles of the regulations are deposited and can be called up there directly.

The "Stuttgarter Stadtrecht" (Stuttgart City Law), which was previously available in paper form (folder) from the Main and Personnel Office, "Organization of Local Self-Government", has been discontinued.
