There are eight community psychiatric centers (GPZ) in Stuttgart, which are regionally structured and responsible for the respective social area and are linked to the psychiatric clinics in Stuttgart by sectoral assignment.
The eight social psychiatric services (SpDi) form the core of the various services offered by the GPZ. They are part of basic psychosocial care and are responsible for providing care for the entire city area. This means that they open up or offer social psychiatric help to all chronically mentally ill people in their catchment area and clarify reports, including those from third parties. They are also the point of contact for relatives and neighbors. The social psychiatric services also provide outreach services.
The GPZs offer support in psychosocial crises during the day. Opening hours of the community psychiatric centers: Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
