Culture international

People from over 180 nations live in Stuttgart. The proportion of citizens with a migration background is around 44 percent. This diverse population structure is also reflected in Stuttgart's cultural offerings and in the activities of international institutions and associations.

Within the Stuttgart city administration, the Department for  Integration Policy coordinates the city's general integration activities. In addition, the Department of Culture supports the international cultural associations and cultural organizations in the state capital, among other things within the framework of  cultural promotion. It also participates in cultural exchange with  Stuttgart's twin cities.

The foreign cultural institutes provide information about cultural developments in the respective countries and arrange contacts. The intercultural associations work with different focuses and make an important contribution to Stuttgart's cultural diversity.
