Kitaservice - Family information

Daycare places in Stuttgart are in high demand. Demand is increasing much faster than additional staff can be hired and sufficient building projects can be realized. The daycare service/family information team therefore supports parents in registering for daycare and finding suitable childcare.

In addition to providing support with daycare registration, the daycare service/family information team provides information on the topics of family support and relief, early help, economic assistance, meeting and leisure opportunities as well as health assistance.

Registration in Kitas

Throughout the calendar year, you can send childcare place requests for your child to Stuttgart daycare centers (daycare facilities for children) via the  Kita-Portal with the  Kitafinder (opens in a new tab) and the new parent account. You can select up to three municipal daycare centers and seven non-urban daycare centers run by independent providers.

Your child must be registered in the daycare centers by February 15 of each year at the latest if it is to be considered for the allocation of places for the next daycare year (from September).

Even after this deadline, childcare places are offered throughout the year, depending on availability.

Please note: Childcare place requests do not have to be submitted anew for each daycare year. They also remain valid after the change of the daycare year.
