Cab

From 8 p.m., passengers on light rail and city buses can order a cab to pick them up at a stop. To do this, the cab request must be registered with the driver immediately after boarding, with the desired destination stop and the name. In the light rail, this is done via the intercom (driver call) in the door area. The provision of the cab is regulated by the cab control center. The usual cab fare applies for the trip.

SSB AG has been offering the Women's Night Taxi for women traveling alone for 20 years. The offer was very well received right from the start, so that it is still in place today. For each trip with the women's night cab, the SSB pays a share of five euros, i.e. the cab fare to be paid is reduced by this amount. For this, the cab request must be registered with the driver immediately after boarding, as for the call cab, with the desired destination stop and the name. It is important that a women's night cab is expressly ordered.

For people who use a wheelchair and cannot leave it during a car trip, it has been almost impossible to be spontaneously mobile. Trips with a special transport service have to be booked well in advance, advance bookings of several days as well as travel times exclusively on weekdays and during the day are the rule. With the Rollitaxi, the cab industry is now making an important contribution to inclusion.

A Rollitaxi is a vehicle that is suitable for accommodating an occupied wheelchair and can also carry four additional passengers. A ramp allows the wheelchair to enter the vehicle. Safety and belt systems are installed and there is enough space in the interior. With the Rollitaxi, the cab industry, supported by a municipal subsidy program, offers an additional service for those affected people who like to be mobile spontaneously. After transporting the wheelchair user, the cab can be converted back into a large-capacity cab.

The regular cab fare applies to the use of the Rollitaxi. Stuttgart residents who are entitled to  ride vouchers for severely disabled people can use them for their ride. The offer applies to the Stuttgart city area and neighboring districts. Journeys to the surrounding area can be requested from the Taxi-Auto-Zentrale.

The  Rollitaxi subsidy program is open to all cab operators with a registered office in Stuttgart and a valid license to operate cabs.
