Intergenerational houses are places where young and old people meet and support each other. The generation houses and centers in Stuttgart differ in their concepts.
They form a community in which all generations are involved in the development of ideas and projects and the accomplishment of tasks. Professionals work together with civically committed people on an equal footing. Partnerships with other facilities and institutions are important factors for the work of the generation houses. Foundations and companies promote the idea of intergenerational cohesion through their commitment.
