You need a passenger transportation permit to drive
- cabs,
- rental cars or passenger cars in scheduled services or bundled on-demand services,
- Rental cars or cars for commercial excursions and vacation trips,
- ambulances if you are transporting passengers for a fee or on a commercial basis.
The permit is issued for the respective type of transportation. An existing driver's license for passenger transport can be extended to include other types of transport.
The permit is valid for a maximum of five years. You can have it extended for a further five years at a time.
