Permission for temporary restaurant operation

• You have the personal reliability to run a catering business.
• The rooms or open spaces used for serving must be suitable for safe catering operations.
• The use of the rooms or open spaces for serving must not be contrary to public interests.
• A special occasion exists. A special occasion is deemed to be, in particular, events that lie outside the company's own sphere of influence, for example, participation in a city festival or Christmas market. A special occasion may also be established itself if the serving of alcohol is merely offered as an ancillary service to an independent event, e.g. annual celebrations of associations, concerts or readings.

Note: The organizer himself must submit the application. If the organizer is a legal entity or an association without legal capacity, a legal representative must submit the application.

The competent authority can impose conditions on the restaurant permit at any time, i.e. also retrospectively.

A fee notice is issued when the permit is granted. The amount of the fees is based on the relevant fee statutes of the state capital Stuttgart.

• in individual cases: further documents to prove your personal reliability or the suitability of rooms and open spaces for safe catering operations (e.g. police clearance certificate, building permit, etc.).

The application must be submitted no later than four weeks prior to the event at which alcoholic beverages are to be served.

The processing time is up to four weeks.
