If you discover shortly before your trip abroad that your passport has expired, an express passport can be a lifesaver. It usually takes up to 5 working days before it can be issued. Please note that there is a higher fee for the express passport than for the regular passport.
In particularly urgent cases, the temporary passport is an even faster option than the express passport. The temporary passport is valid for a maximum of one year and not for all countries.
Prerequisites
For people who only have a secondary residence or are not registered in Stuttgart, the Citizen office Mitte will decide after consultation whether a passport application is possible.
Procedure
The application must be made in person at the Citizens' Office. Collection always takes place at the Bürgerbüro Mitte, in the collection point.
