Please note
When you apply for an electronic residence permit at the Foreigners' Registration Office, your fingerprints of both index fingers will be taken. These are stored on the chip of the card. The fingerprints are only stored temporarily at the Foreigners' Registration Office and Bundesdruckerei GmbH and will be deleted after the electronic residence permit has been issued.
Children under the age of six will not be fingerprinted!

Re-issuance must be applied for immediately upon receipt of a new, renewed or amended national passport.
