As a rule, you must set up a personal service account on the service portal to submit your application. This allows you to start, edit, temporarily save, and also submit your application. The Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg is responsible for processing your data in the service account.
Prerequisites
- You are the housing provider of the new residence.
- A housing provider is someone who actually lets another person use a dwelling and not just in appearance. This applies regardless of whether this is based on a contract and whether this is effective. The housing provider is usually the owner who rents out the apartment.
- The housing provider can also be a person or body commissioned by the owner to rent out the apartment, for example property management companies.
- For persons who live as subtenants, the main tenant is the housing provider. The main tenant is also the housing provider if part of an apartment is left to a third party for actual use without consideration or only against reimbursement of expenses.
- If you move into the apartment or house yourself as the owner, you make a self-declaration for yourself.
Procedure
You or a person appointed by you must confirm in writing to the registration office that the person subject to registration has moved in (housing provider confirmation). To do this, please fill out the form and hand it over to the person taking up residence (tenant).
In doing so, you confirm the following data:
- Your name and address as the housing provider or if you are not the owner, also the name of the owner.
- Date of moving in
- Address of the apartment into which you are moving
- Names of the persons obliged to register
- Signature of the housing provider
- if necessary, power of attorney of the authorized person and his or her identity card
In the case of electronic confirmation to the registration office, you will receive what is known as an assignment mark. You have to inform the person obliged to register for the registration of the residence about this.
You can then inquire at the registration office whether the person subject to registration has registered.
