The Zamenhof is located in the middle of Stuttgart's west, surrounded by greenery. Residents and guests enjoy talking at the open lunch table, for example - or at the aroma organ, the singing bowls, the water vortex, the oversized xylophone, and so on. All these elements are part of the "Sensory Worlds," a project that appeals to young and old alike. The most important services at a glance: 108 inpatient care places, short-term care places, nine two- and three-room apartments for assisted living from 41 to 94 square meters, open lunch for residents and guests, a green courtyard and a large terrace, a wide range of leisure activities with concerts, festivals, theater, excursions, memory training, exercise and motor skills training, the "Sensory Worlds" café, etc., support from the social service for contacts with authorities and cost units, social legal matters and personal concerns. Volunteers offer additional services, such as walks, sewing, singing and play groups, reading aloud and painting, an area for dementia patients with a sheltered garden, and a group of sitting guards to accompany seriously ill and dying patients.
