From Wednesday, December 24, 2025, up to and including Thursday, January 1, 2026, all Stuttgart City Library facilities will close.
The two pop-up libraries in Hedelfingen and Obertürkheim and the Library of Things in the Rathauspassage will close on Monday, December 22, 2025, and reopen on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
The library buses will remain in the garage from Saturday, December 20, 2025 and will also start their tours again from Wednesday, January 7, 2026.
Borrowed items can still be returned to the Central Library on Mailänder Platz via the 24-hour return service. In the district libraries, the return boxes and terminals will remain closed from Tuesday, December 23, 2025, until Friday morning, January 2, 2026.
