Study on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
A funded study has been launched at the Erbachtal landfill site to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The aim is to optimize the capture of landfill gas and thereby reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the landfill body in the long term. The landfill is located in the Waiblingen district (Waiblingen-Neustadt/Hohenacker), but is operated by the Stuttgart waste management company (AWS).
The project is funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and the National Climate Protection Initiative.
