Even from the outside, the Porsche Museum is a highlight: The main body is supported only by three V-shaped pillars. It almost looks as if the polygonal building is floating above the ground. The sculpture in front of the museum, whose three stelae each carry a Porsche 911, are a small foretaste of what awaits visitors inside.
A spectacular staircase leads visitors from the foyer into the expansive exhibition space. The Porsche Museum presents over 80 vehicles and 200 small exhibits, including classics such as the Porsche 356, 911 and 917, and the VW Beetle developed by Ferdinand Porsche is also on display. The museum is also dedicated to his work from the early 20th century.
In addition to the exhibits, visitors to the Porsche Museum will also find a workshop for historic vehicles. Through a pane of glass, interested visitors can look over the shoulders of the experts as they repair classic cars.
