Climate change is on the one hand a global issue and on the other hand of high local importance.
The climate of Stuttgart is characterized by its large-scale location in the Neckar basin, shielded by the Black Forest in the west, the Swabian Alb in the south, the Schurwald in the east and the Strom and Heuchelberg area in the northwest. This location has a great influence on all climate elements, such as air temperature, humidity, precipitation and wind.
Climate change is also leaving its mark on us. On the following pages, you will learn about the climate in Stuttgart, the challenges that lie ahead and how we intend to mitigate the consequences of climate change so that Stuttgart remains a place worth living in.
