Barbecuing outdoors - no problem in Stuttgart thanks to numerous barbecue areas.

What is allowed at public barbecue areas?

Anyone who barbecues at barbecue sites must observe a few things. Only then is it guaranteed that everyone has fun at the barbecue and no one gets hurt. Above all, the forest benefits from your considerate use of barbecue sites and areas. Things to note include:

  • The barbecue sites in the Stuttgart forest cannot be reserved or rented. However, most of the barbecue sites are so large anyway that several groups can barbecue there at the same time.
  • In addition, the barbecue sites may not be approached by motor vehicles, but must be reached via the footpaths.
  • Building fires and barbecuing is only allowed in the fixed fireplaces. It is best to bring your own dry wood or barbecue charcoal, as the available wood is often insufficient during large crowds.
  • Brought grills and disposable grills may not be used for fire safety reasons, neither in the forest nor in parks.
  • If the barbecue area is closed there are good reasons for this, for example a high risk of forest fire during dry periods.
  • Please leave the barbecue area as you would like to find it - tidy. Then other visitors can continue to have fun barbecuing together in nature.
