Young people U25

At the Jobcenter Stuttgart, teenagers and young adults receive help with everything to do with school, training, studying and work, as well as with many difficulties that arise in everyday life. The service is aimed at Stuttgart residents between the ages of 15 and 24.

Training, studying or still going to school? The Jobcenter helps young people to realize their career aspirations or to develop a plan for their professional future.

The Jobcenter Stuttgart advises and supports you in choosing the right career, finding a training or study place and gaining a foothold in the job market. Your personal contacts (pAp) will, of course, take your individual situation into account and will also listen to you if you have any difficulties. The service is aimed at Stuttgart residents aged between 15 and 24.

The job center will help you in various situations:

  • Have you finished school or will be finishing soon and don't yet know what to do next?
  • Are you looking for an apprenticeship, a place at university or a job?
  • Are there circumstances in your life (e.g. lack of childcare, debts, trouble with the police, problems with your parents or relationship problems) that make it difficult for you to find or keep a training place or job?
  • Do you live alone and your money is not enough to pay the rent and live on? In this case, you can apply for unemployment benefit II from the Jobcenter. You can find detailed information on this in the  cash benefits section.

Give us a call or send us an e-mail to arrange a personal interview at the Jobcenter. All conversations are treated confidentially. You are welcome to bring your parents or friends along to the consultation.

School, training, profession?

The transition from school to the world of work is a decisive and exciting step in the course of life. The goal now is to find a job that is fun and in which you can make a successful start. To make sure that your professional future works out, the Jobcenter Stuttgart supports teenagers and young adults on their way into the job market.

School grades and certificates are of course important - but they are not everything. In a conversation with your personal contact person, you will find out your strengths, interests and abilities, and together you will develop a career perspective.

You already know what you want to do professionally? All the better, then the Jobcenter will support you as far as possible in realizing your career aspirations. It is important that you reveal what is going on in your life at the moment and how you imagine your professional future.

Support in all situations

The employees of the job center will also take a lot of time for you if your life situation makes it difficult for you to take up training, studies or work. This can be difficulties at home or at school, but also health problems, addiction problems, debts and much more. Pregnancy can also quickly upset your life plans.

With your consent, we can call in other counseling centers that specialize in solving certain problems (for example, addiction, debt or pregnancy counseling) for support.

Speak openly about your situation - your personal contact person will be happy to support you.

Education and participation benefits - Participation for all

You are under 25 years old, go to school and need tutoring, materials for school or money for school meals? Then you can get help from the Jobcenter. You also receive support for travel costs to school, for class trips or excursions, as well as for music lessons or the sports club.

In these cases, children, adolescents and young adults receive  education and participation benefits in addition to the monthly benefits from the Job Center. You or your parents only have to apply for these benefits separately in exceptional cases, for example for extra tuition.
