Apply for a blue card for highly qualified employment (Blue Card)

• You have a German university degree or a recognized foreign university degree.
• You have a job corresponding to your qualifications or a concrete job offer corresponding to your qualifications.
• You receive a salary amounting to at least two-thirds of the annual contribution assessment ceiling in the general pension insurance scheme. Note: For certain professions (natural scientists, mathematicians, engineers, physicians, and IT specialists), the salary amount is at least 52 percent of the annual contribution assessment ceiling in the general pension insurance.
• The Federal Employment Agency agrees to the issuance of the residence title, as far as necessary

• Valid entry visa for the Blue Card
• Proof of minimum salary
• Proof of your university degree
• Proof of employment or job offer
• Proof of accommodation, tenancy agreement
• Proof of health insurance

• Completed application for a residence permit
• Proof that your livelihood is secured (last 3 payslips)
• Certificate of employment and earnings
• Proof of health insurance
• Proof of residence

NOTE: In addition to the points listed above, further requirements may need to be met. We can only process your application if you submit all documents in full.

You must apply before your visa or residence permit expires.

Due to the large number of applications for a residence permit, longer processing times must be expected. We kindly ask you to refrain from making interim inquiries.
