The tasks of the Central/North department are initially identical to the basic tasks outlined for the  Land Transactions department. In addition, in the event of contradictory statements from specialist departments and other parties involved in the intended measures, coordination is carried out until the binding legal form is established.

This department is responsible for the districts of Botnang, Feuerbach, Mitte, Nord, Ost, Stammheim, Süd, Weilimdorf, West, Zuffenhausen; the districts of Bergheim, Frauenkopf, Giebel, Hausen, Neuwirtshaus (excluding small settlers), Rot, Rotwildpark, Schwarzwildpark, Solitude, Wolfbusch (excluding small settlers) and Zazenhausen, as well as the adjoining external districts.
