Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel is one of the most influential philosophers of the 19th century. On August 27, 2020, the great thinker celebrates his 250th birthday. The city of Stuttgart's gift to perhaps its most famous son: the reopening of the Museum Hegel-Haus with a new permanent exhibition, an impressive multimedia experience and an exciting escape room.
Right in the heart of Stuttgart, the Hegel House is an artifact of bygone times and breathes the spirit of the famous German philosopher. It houses the only museum dedicated solely to Hegel and is also the birthplace of the great thinker. This very special, authentic place offers an innovative and diverse museum experience that makes Hegel tangible and tangible in various facets of his person and his life.
The new Hegel House Museum demonstrates the enormous impact of his work and invites visitors to engage with the person and philosophical work of Hegel. The museum extends over three floors of the listed building, the core of which dates back to the late Middle Ages. The tour of the historic building, which can be explored in three languages (German, English, Chinese), includes an introductory multimedia installation as well as various exhibition areas with original objects and interactive stations.
