Community work

The community work carries out construction and development work in residential areas and districts. It is the point of contact for all residents and for local institutions. As a point of contact, it also supports committed people who want to help shape their district.

Community work is an area of professional social work. Together with the people who live, work or spend their time in a district, it aims to improve living conditions and the living environment in this district. Community work is therefore active in a clearly defined district or residential area. Community work supports the people in the district so that their interests and concerns become visible, receive attention and can be discussed. At the same time, it promotes people’s own initiative so that they can stand up for their own interests.

Community work is part of the  youth welfare planning department. An  employee from the youth welfare planning department heads the community work team.
