Would you like to offer a person with disabilities or a severely disabled person the opportunity of temporary trial employment with full wage compensation? The Jobcenter Stuttgart can help you with this. In the case of trial employment with full wage compensation, all costs normally associated with an employment relationship, such as wage/salary costs, including the employer's share of social security contributions and other benefits based on statutory or collectively agreed regulations, are covered for a period of up to three months.

Introductory training prepares people with difficult placement prospects, learning disabilities or who are not yet ready for vocational training. Preparation for a specialist internship is also eligible for funding. The aim is to take on a trainee.

The program offers a "soft" start with the help of a paid long-term internship (four to twelve months). The internship can also be completed part-time with at least 20 hours per week. The content of the internship should be based on the content of the first year of training and be structured in the same way as the first year of training. Attendance at a vocational school is advisable and mandatory for participants who are required to attend vocational school. If successful, the participant can move on to the regular 2nd year of training after completing the internship. Participation in vocational language courses is also possible during introductory training.

Employers can receive a subsidy of up to 276 euros/month (as of 01.08.2024) plus a flat-rate share of the average total social security contribution. A company certificate must be issued at the end of each entry-level qualification.

Assisted flexible training (ASA flex) is a two-phase offer for young people and training companies.

The offer is aimed at young people who:

• are no longer required to attend full-time school
• are unable to start or continue vocational training without support
• are likely to have difficulties in successfully completing their training

This is how ASA flex works:

The preliminary phase: all participants receive goal-oriented support. Another advantage of the offer during this period is the entitlement to vocational training allowance (BAB).

In the subsequent accompanying phase, the support offered is geared towards the individual needs of the trainees. The aim is the successful completion of in-company training. During the entire training period, a so-called training mentor supports the young people in all matters - both in the company and beyond. This permanent contact person is also the point of contact for the company.

All stages up to the successful completion of in-company training are supported by the training mentor:

• Search for an in-company training position
• Support with all questions and matters during the training period
• Preparation for the transition to employment subject to compulsory insurance

Our offer for training companies:

• You will be supported and advised at all times by our training mentor in all matters relating to training
• If necessary, we will take over the cooperation with the responsible office
• In connection with the initiation and implementation of vocational training, you will receive comprehensive assistance from us with administrative and organizational tasks

Do you want to offer a person with disabilities or a severely disabled person the opportunity of in-company training or further training? Or offer employment following the completion of initial or further training? The Jobcenter Stuttgart can support you in this by providing you with a training grant for the entire duration of the in -company training or further training amounting to up to 80 percent of the monthly training allowance for the last year of training or the comparable allowance. If a severely disabled person is taken on in an employment relationship after completing training or further training, an integration grant of up to 70 percent of the salary can be applied for.

A measure with the employer (MAG) is a type of internship that can be arranged for a specific duration (up to twelve weeks for the long-term unemployed) and is free of charge for employers. The aim is to get to know the employee better. The focus of participation is on integration and professional testing. The job center can provide support by covering travel costs, among other things. Accident insurance cover is guaranteed during the internship.

The integration subsidy is a supplement to gross pay (including the employer's flat-rate share of the total social insurance contribution), which - in relation to the specific job - is based on the limited productivity of the worker. The duration of the re-employment obligation depends on the funding period.

The integration subsidy can amount to up to 50 percent of the remuneration to be taken into account and the duration of the subsidy can be up to twelve months. For employees who have reached the age of 50, the funding period can be up to 36 months if the funding has begun by December 31, 2023.

For people with disabilities and severely disabled people, an integration subsidy of up to 70 percent of the remuneration to be taken into account can be granted for up to 24 months. In exceptional cases, a funding period of up to 60 or 96 months is also possible.

After twelve months, the amount of the subsidy is generally reduced by ten percentage points each year.

The wage cost subsidy for the integration of the long-term unemployed including coaching (Section 16e SGB II) is a discretionary benefit. In the case of funding, the funding period is two years. In the first year of the employment relationship, the subsidy amounts to 75%, in the second year 50% of the regular salary paid as well as the assumption of the costs of employment support (coaching) for the employee. Employers can also be supported if required. It is also possible to cover all or part of the costs of further training.

The promotion of participation in the labor market (§ 16i SGB II) is a discretionary benefit. In the case of funding, the funding period can be up to five years. In the first two years of the employment relationship, the subsidy amounts to 100%, in the third year of the employment relationship 90%, in the fourth year of the employment relationship 80% and in the fifth year of the employment relationship 70%. It is also possible to cover further training costs during the employment relationship of up to EUR 3,000. An integral part of the support is the coaching of the employee. Employers can also be supported if required.
