In his introductory speech, Freier said about his understanding of his office as district leader: “I want to be the first point of contact for citizens, an advisor and mediator for different points of view.” He referred to his extensive experience in administration. No project could be meaningfully implemented in future without the timely involvement of citizens. “I look forward to the dialog in the borough.” He wants to maintain and support the active civic involvement in Hedelfingen, Rohracker and Lederberg.
Kai Freier was born in Heilbronn on June 19, 1972. He completed his preparatory service and studies for the higher non-technical administrative service from 1991 to 1995 at Heilbronn City Council and the University of Public Administration in Kehl. He then completed his civilian service in a retirement and nursing home. The graduate in public administration (FH) has been working for the state capital Stuttgart since 1997. Initially, he was a clerk at the school administration office. Since July 1999, he has been Head of Building and Event Management at the Main and Personnel Office. He is also an honorary lay judge at the local court.

Municipal council elects Kai Freier as the new district leader of Hedelfingen
At its meeting on July 2, the municipal council of the state capital of Stuttgart elected Kai Freier as the new district leader of Hedelfingen with 46 out of 55 votes cast. Freier was the only candidate to present himself to the committee.
