He is currently Deputy Head of the “Control & Communication” department at AOK Stuttgart-Böblingen. Scheible succeeds Thrasivoulos Malliaras, who moved to the private sector in the summer.
“Mr. Scheible’s broad education and his profound experience in the areas of administration, politics and communication convinced us,” says Lord Mayor Nopper. Sebastian Scheible explains: “I am very much looking forward to my new challenging role in the town hall. As a Stuttgart resident with an interest in local politics, there are few fields of work that are as exciting. I have been involved in politics and the political environment of companies for over 20 years, both professionally and on a voluntary basis. In my new role, I would like to contribute to supporting the Lord Mayor in his work for the city society in the best possible way.”
Scheible was born in Stuttgart in 1984. He studied political science (minor: law) in Tübingen and completed his master’s degree in empirical political and social research at the University of Stuttgart. From 2011 to 2014, he worked as office manager and research assistant to Baden-Württemberg state parliament members Dr. Dietrich Birk and Jutta Schiller (both CDU). From 2014 to 2017, Scheible worked as a research assistant in the office of CDU Member of Parliament Thomas Bareiß. From there, he moved to AOK Baden-Württemberg as a policy advisor, which seconded him to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport for six months in 2020/21. In December 2021, he changed internally to AOK Stuttgart-Böblingen. Sebastian Scheible was also a member of the Stuttgart-West district advisory council from 2018 to 2021.
