Former city councillor Manfred Eisele turns 70

Former city councillor Manfred Eisele celebrates his 70th birthday on Saturday, January 25. He was a member of the municipal council from 1987 to July 1999 as a member of the FDP/DVP parliamentary group, until the end of the electoral term in October 1999 as an individual councillor, as he left the FDP. He was deputy district councillor from 1982 to 1987.

On the local council, the qualified forestry engineer and district manager of the Vaihingen forestry district championed the interests of environmental protection and the protection of green spaces, in particular the forest. Among other things, he was a member of the Environment and Technology Committee, the Social and Youth Welfare Committee, the Land Regulation Committee and the Playgrounds Working Group.

Eisele was also a member of the advisory committee of the Supervisory Board of Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG (SSB) and the Supervisory Board of Stuttgarter Wohnungs- und Städtebaugesellschaft (SWSG). He played a key role in driving forward the construction of the “Gaisburg” commercial area and was involved in the construction of the funeral parlor in Gaisburg. Eisele also campaigned for the introduction of smaller and therefore more cost-effective waste bins. In addition to his work on the municipal council, he also held the honorary office of juvenile lay judge at the district court and then lay judge at the local court.

Since retiring and moving to his home district of Gaisburg, the father of four has been involved in the parish council of the Protestant parish of Gaisburg and, since the merger with the Lukas parish in Ostheim and the Petrus parish in Gablenberg, in the parish council of the Protestant parish of Stuttgart-Ost.
