How and where do I dispose of masks?
Collect everyday masks, medical mouth-nose masks or FFP2 masks in waste bags or sacks together with the residual waste and dispose of them in the residual waste garbage can.
Residual waste is usually collected via the residual waste garbage can by the municipal organized waste collection, transported to the waste incineration plant and incinerated there. Any viruses present are safely killed during waste incineration.

How and where do I dispose of Corona rapid tests?
Collect corona rapid tests in waste bags or sacks, seal them tightly (for example, knotted).
Use absorbent material (for example kitchen paper) to absorb the liquids produced in small quantities during the test and place this in the waste bag as well.
Dispose of the waste bags in the residual waste (waste garbage can or container) and do not place them next to it.

What else do I have to pay attention to when disposing of waste?
Continue to separate your other waste as usual to enable high-quality recycling and to avoid unnecessarily burdening the disposal capacities of the waste incineration plants.

Households with persons tested positive or quarantined.

How and where do I dispose of waste that may be contaminated with viruses?
Dispose of waste from private quarantine households in the residual waste garbage can. This includes not only hygiene items such as handkerchiefs, protective clothing, respirators, Corona rapid tests, waste from disinfection measures, disposable laundry or wiping cloths, but also domestic organic and kitchen waste and packaging.

Collect waste in sturdy trash bags that are as tear-resistant as possible and must be tightly closed (for example, knotted).

Package small amounts of liquid waste in a drip-proof manner; use absorbent material such as kitchen paper.
Put garbage bags directly in the residual waste (garbage can or container) and do not put them next to it.

How and where do I dispose of my remaining waste?
Continue to dispose of used glass and deposit packaging as well as electrical and electronic waste, batteries or pollutants not in the residual waste garbage can. It is recommended that you keep this waste in the household until the quarantine is lifted.
Waste paper (newspapers, books, magazines or cardboard) should be kept until after the quarantine, provided that there are appropriate facilities for this in the living environment. Otherwise, dispose of them in the residual waste garbage can.

After your recovery, it would be nice if you separated your waste again accordingly for the sake of the environment.
