Stuttgart Police Headquarters is a state agency of the state of Baden-Württemberg. Around 2,200 employees work there. They ensure that the state capital Stuttgart is one of the safest major cities in Germany.

Subordinate to the Ministry of the Interior in Baden-Württemberg are twelve regional police headquarters.  Stuttgart Police Headquarters (opens in a new tab) includes eight police stations, three police precinct stations and 13 police posts. At the police precincts and precinct stations, police service runs on a 24-hour basis. The police stations are not manned at night or on Sundays and public holidays - except for the Klett-Passage police station.
