The registry office will be closed on 22 and 23.10.2024 due to a joint training course. Registration for marriage, notarization of births and deaths, notarization of resignations from religious communities, name assignments, name changes, subsequent notarization of civil status cases abroad. On 01.01.2009, the Civil Status Act (PStG) was amended in significant parts. Registers of births, marriages, civil partnerships and deaths are now kept at the registry office. The family registers created up to 31.12.2008 are continued as marriage registers for spouses (not for children) at the marriage registry offices. The civil status registers are now only kept by the registry office within the legally prescribed continuation period of - 80 years for marriage registers / civil partnership registers - 110 years for birth registers - 30 years for death registers.
