Family Education

On request, we offer decentralized, topic-specific individual events in addition to our central offers in the seminar room at Marienplatz. Our expert speakers will come to your daycare center, school, district center, club, parents’ initiative, etc. on request.

Our events take place with a minimum of 5 participants. The events are free of charge. In return, we are happy for you to take care of the premises and, if necessary, childcare during the event.

Individual events and theme evenings

With our events, we address current topics requested by parents and repeat events on request. Binding registration is required for our central individual events in our seminar rooms at Marienplatz. For the central events at cooperation partners, they take over the registration management.

Courses and one-day offers

Binding registration is required for the courses. The course content builds on each other, so regular attendance is desirable. The starting dates are indicated. The days of the week usually remain the same. Unless otherwise stated, the courses take place weekly. You can find the registration link individually under the offers.

Parent coaching

Despite all the joys that everyday life with children brings, there are always challenges that parents face. This offer aims to give you new impetus and energy for your everyday family life. In a pleasant small group atmosphere, we offer you the opportunity to exchange ideas with other parents and receive professional support on topics and questions that concern you. You decide the topics yourself.

Open parents’ meeting Coffee-Tea-Chai

In our open meeting we offer parents discussions, orientation and contacts. You can get to know other families, take a break, recharge your batteries and find out about parenting issues. You can talk about topics that concern you and others, experience relief and have fun together. Registration is not required. Children are always welcome. The meeting is run by a specialist.

Every Monday from 9:30 am to 12 noon in our seminar rooms at Marienplatz 3.

The school placement service is a cooperation between the Family Education Department of the Stuttgart Youth Welfare Office, the  Migration Coordination Office (opens in a new tab) of the Stuttgart State Education Authority and the  Stuttgart Education Partnership Department (opens in a new tab) of the City of Stuttgart.

The aim of the school placement service is to find a suitable preparatory class for newly immigrated pupils at lower secondary level.

The Stuttgart State Education Authority invites newly immigrated families to an introductory meeting. During the appointment, the educational biography of the children and young people is recorded and they complete tasks in mathematics and English. Based on this, the State Education Authority assigns the pupils to a suitable preparatory class.

During the introductory appointment, the family education department provides parents with information about the education system in Baden-Württemberg and everyday school life.

The Stuttgart Education Partnerships department has developed a brochure for parents that explains the school system in simple language.

We are happy to make our seminar room on Marienplatz available to parents’ groups and initiatives as a meeting room in return for a small fee and assistance.

It is not possible to rent it out for events, courses or celebrations for a fee.
