The Jobcenter Stuttgart supports you in gaining a foothold in the job and training market. Whether it’s a new job, an apprenticeship, a career change or further training - the Jobcenter’s personal contacts will work with you to find solutions.

The job center supports you in your search for a new job, a training position or a new orientation.

Help in all situations

It is important to the Jobcenter that you find long-term employment that suits you and your personal circumstances. That is why the Jobcenter’s personal contacts always take your current life situation into account. Do you have children or care for a family member and have to reconcile family or care with work or training? Are there circumstances in your life that make employment difficult - for example health problems, addiction problems or debts?

Speak openly about your situation, the Jobcenter Stuttgart will be happy to support you in all situations. With your consent, you can also consult other advice centres that specialize in solving various problems (for example, addiction or debt counselling).

The first step

To make an appointment for an initial consultation, please contact the  Jobcenter branch (opens in a new tab) in your place of residence or one of the specific specialist offices of the Jobcenter Stuttgart.

The specialist centers are aimed at

 Young people under 25

 Refugees

 Self-employed people

 People in housing need

The  Bürgergeld arbitration office at the Jobcenter will help you resolve any differences of opinion. The Jobcenter’s contact point also provides basic information on the subject of  vocational rehabilitation (opens in a new tab). Project staff from the ReFit Stuttgart pilot project will support you with questions relating to  medical rehabilitation.

During the initial consultation, you will discuss your professional career to date with your personal contact person and work out an individually tailored strategy for your job or training search.

Cooperation plan with the job center

A “cooperation plan” will be drawn up with you afterwards and in the follow-up meetings. The agreement describes the further cooperation between you and the Jobcenter. It sets out specific goals, steps and regulations to help you improve your life situation. You can be supported on your way into the job market, for example through individual support and educational services.

The cooperation plan is regularly updated and adapted to your progress and personal circumstances. Simply make an appointment and drop by the Jobcenter Stuttgart.
