PlusEnergy program

On 15.12.2023, the municipal council decided to discontinue the PlusEnergy program from 01.01.2024 with the resolution on the 2024/2025 double budget. Applications will be accepted until the end of 2023. Applications that have already been submitted will be approved by the end of January 2024 if all documents are complete.

The Bad Cannstatt Clinic’s company daycare center in Baumannweg is a successful example of a new municipal building built to the PlusEnergy standard.

Under the PlusEnergy program, funding is available, among other things, for buildings that generate more energy from renewable sources over the course of the year than is required in the building. The subsidy applies to private individuals, owners’ associations, legal entities and associations.

According to the guidelines, a building can always be subsidized if a positive primary energy and CO2 balance is achieved over the year. To meet this criterion, the building’s energy consumption must be as low as possible and the local generation of renewable energy as high as possible.

To generate energy at the building, for example, the use of photovoltaic systems for electricity generation or heat pumps for heat generation is suitable.
