District chief Bad Cannstatt

Bernd-Marcel Löffler has been the district leader in Stuttgart’s Bad Cannstatt district since April 2014. In 1998, he moved to Stuttgart from the city of Kornwestheim and initially worked in the social welfare office.

In 2002, Bernd-Marcel Löffler became deputy district chief in Münster, and three years later he took over the vice post in Mühlhausen. Before moving to Cannstatt, he headed the district office in Mühlhausen for seven years. Bernd-Marcel Löffler lives in Kornwestheim.

In Stuttgart, there are 17 full-time district chiefs in the outer city districts. They are elected by the city council, chair the district advisory councils and manage their local administration as heads of office. The full-time district heads hold office until their retirement age.
