As an office of the state capital Stuttgart, the Jobcenter is the point of contact for all employable beneficiaries who receive the  citizen’s allowance (opens in a new tab). Since 2012, the Jobcenter has been responsible for implementing the basic income support for jobseekers as an approved municipal agency.

With 16 branch and external offices in the community centers and district town halls, the Jobcenter Stuttgart offers an easily accessible advisory service close to home in almost all districts.

In addition, the three specific specialist offices for  young people under 25, the  self-employed and  people in housing need are dedicated to specific situations and special needs. Refugees can find targeted help and support in the  Migration and Participation Refugee Department.
