Heating exchange program

With the aim of further improving air quality in the state capital of Stuttgart, the city council passed amendments to the funding guidelines for the replacement of heating systems with coal furnaces or oil boilers in October 2022.

Promotion of new heating systems: Reduction of CO2 emissions

The replacement of coal and oil furnaces is intended to bring about an additional reduction in CO2 emissions in Stuttgart. Funding is available for the complete removal and replacement of coal-fired furnaces or oil-fired boiler systems throughout the building. These are to be replaced by environmental heat or local or district heating or wood pellets with dust filters.
